Sage Rub is the outer, fluffy leaf of the the sage leaf. It is used in recipes for chicken, pork and Italian dishes. Also try our Safe – Ground and Sage – Leaf.


Light green to gray-green leaves of an evergreen shrub of the mint family. Very aromatic and slightly bitter. Sage Rub goes well with chicken, pork, spaghettis sauce and more. You need much less rubbed sage than you do ground sage. Ground sage is the whole leaf. Rubbed is the outer soft fluffy part with the majority of the flavor.
